Malaysia Visa

Malaysia Visa is a form of permission for a non-citizen to travel to, enter, transit or remain in Malaysia. The issuance of Malaysian visa does not guarantee an entry. That remains the right of the immigration officials of the entry points. Citizen from some countries may required to present return tickets and evidence of means (availability of funds) to cover their intended stay in Malaysia.

Citizen from some countries may refuse entry to visitors who do not comply with their requirements regarding general appearance and clothing. Same condition apply to Malaysian passport holders who traveling oversea. Only the country/countries you plan to visit can provide up-to-date information about visa requirements for Malaysian passport holders. Deportation is at the traveler's expense.

Types of Malaysia Visa

The Malaysian Government issues 3 types of visas to foreign nationals:

 1. Single Entry Visa

The Single Entry Visa is issued to foreign nationals who require a visa to enter Malaysia mainly for a social visit. It is valid for a single entry and for a period of 3 months from the date of issue. Read more about Single Entry Visa.

2. Multiple Entry Visa

The Multiple Entry Visa is issued to foreign nationals who require a visa to enter Malaysia mainly for business or government-to-government matters. It is valid for a period within 3 months to 12 months from the date of issue. Read more about Multiple Entry Visa.

3. Transit Visa

The Transit Visa is issued to foreign nationals who require a visa to enter Malaysia on transit to other countries. Foreign nationals on transit without leaving the airport premises and who continue their journey to the next destination with the same flight do not require a Transit Visa.

eVISA

eVISA is an online application platform that enables foreign nationals to apply for an electronic visa to enter Malaysia at the comfort of applicant's convenience. eVISA is vaild for 3 months while eVISA holder is entitled to stay up to a maximum of 15 or 30 days for each visit in Malaysia depends on the type of the eVISA.
