Malaysia Multiple Entry Visa
All foreign citizens should first check whether they need an entry visa to Malaysia before going to the country for short stay. Most of nationalities are able to enter Malaysia visa-free for short periods of stay, but others are required to obtain a visa in advance.
Citizens of a number of foreign countries are able to obtain a tourist visa
for Malaysia through an electronic application, either as a single-entry or
multiple-entry travel document.
Citizens of India and the People's Republic of China who wish to enter Malaysia
for the purpose of a Social Visit are eligible to apply for the Multiple Entry
Visa. The validity of the Multiple Entry Visa is one (1) year. Each entry will
be granted up to 30 days of stay and the extension is not allowed.
Conditions for the Multiple Entry Visa are:
• The applicant must show proof of sufficient funds for staying in Malaysia
• The applicant must possess a valid and confirmed return ticket
• Tour groups are not eligible to apply for Multiple Entry Visa.
• The Multiple Entry Visa costs RM100.00 for Indian Citizens and RM30.00 for
citizens of the People's Republic of China.
Citizens of India and China planning for a single entry trip to Malaysia for
up to 15 days are able to apply for the Malaysia eNTRI visa, which is also
available though a simple electronic application.
Multiple Entry Visa Application Requirement
In order to submit Malaysia Multiple Entry Visa Application, the applicants are required to
provide the following:
•
Digital copies of the front of a valid passport eligible for the Malaysia eVisa
(Indian citizens must also provide the last page of the document)
• A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant
•
Confirmed return flight bookings
•
A valid debit or credit card to pay the Malaysia visa fee
•
A current email address to which the approved single-entry visa will be sent
•
Copy of birth certificate (for minor applicants)
•
Proof of accommodation
Before completing the application, it is necessary to ensure that all of the
information is correct and matches the details of the applicant’s passport. This
is because even minor errors are likely to result in days in receiving the
eVisa, or denial of the application.
Once the Malaysia Multiple Entry Visa has been approved, the applicant will
receive an email attached with the Multiple Entry Visa. You're required to print
out the visa and present to immigration officer on your entry point to Malaysia.
Upon arrival at Malaysian border control, the traveler will be required to
present the following documents alongside their passport to gain access to the
country:
• Valid Passport / Travel Documents
• A printed copy of the Malaysia Multiple Entry Visa
•
Confirmed return flight tickets
•
Proof of accommodation in Malaysia, e.g. hotel reservations
•
Proof of sufficient funds to cover the trip (either cash, a credit or debit
card, or travelers checks)
Remarks: While having a visa does not guarantee entry to Malaysia, immigration officers at entry point reserves the right to ask/request additional documentation deemed necessary.
