Malaysian Passport Application
Malaysian Passport is a valid travel document issued by
the Malaysian Government for the purpose of traveling
abroad. Malaysian Passport is the property of The Malaysian
Government and may be withdrawn at any time if the
Immigration Department is satisfied that the passport is
used contravene against the Passport Act 1966. The holder is
fully responsible for the security of the Passport.
First Time Passport Application
Applicants must comply with following criteria:
• Malaysia Citizen
• Appear in person at Immigration Office or Malaysian Representative Offices
abroad

Remarks
For children aged below 4 years old are advised to bring along 2 pieces of photograph with white color background size 35mm x 50 mm.
size such that the head is between 25mm –30mm from the bottom of the chin to the
top of head.
Passport Photograph
The applicants are not required to bring along photograph for passport
application. The photograph will be taken on the spot at Immigration Office using Facial
Live Capture Recognition device.
The applicants are advised to:
1. Wear dark color clothing covering shoulder and chest
2. Do not wear hat or head covering / obscured hair or hairline unless worn daily for religious purpose
3. Contact lenses and spectacles with color are not allowed
4. Applicant who wear veil or hijab are required to wear dark colour veil /
hijab.
